German WW2 Full Size Entrenching Pick: Dated 1943! (One Only)

Original Item: One only. Received from Norway in the late 1980s together with a Container full of German WW2 Surplus, this pick was the only one we got and somehow has remained in a corner ever since. An unremarkable Pick with the usual opposing Pick and Hoe sides, the top HOWEVER bears an interesting markers marking very heavily stamped into the forging. It appears to be a manufactures mark with 1943 over OTK. The shaft is plain wood and is about as utilitarian as you could get. This was not manufactured for today's up market "Garden Centers". It is interesting to note that "otk" was the German WW2 Manufacture's Code for the Company of: Otto Bernsau Nachf. G.m.b.H. of Heesenstr.70, Dusseldorf-Heerdt. Just what is needed for the side of your Tank, other Military Vehicle, or piece of Artillery!
