Original Item: The MP 43 & MP 44 family of small arms is a pivotal development in the history of firearms. It is considered by many to be the original assault rifle, embodying all the features that later came to be part of the basic definition of the assault rifle. The early production MP 43 & 44 firing pins were triangular in cross section, with a radiused groove along each face. VERY RARE.
