Original Item: One Only. These are now very rare. Surplused in the 1980s from Eastern Europe; very few examples of these Original Transit Chests were ever found. This example painted dark green has the correct hidden catches and a hard to read Code and 1940 date in the wood under one steel carry handle. Internally excellent with all compartments for Gun, spare barrel all accessories, tools etc and possibly even accommodation for "double trommel" Saddle Drum Magazines. Interior of lid has steel frame for manual/instruction information but the papers are not present. The front of the Chest has stenciled remains of address of British Arms Dealer who took delivery from Eastern Europe over 25 years ago. This is the only one we have; for the advanced collector.
