British WW2 style Pedal Driven Electric Charging Set Backpack Generator

Item Description

Original Item: IMA imported these to the USA nearly 20 years ago; these were purchased directly from the British Ministry of Defense. Originally developed at the tail end of WW2 specifically for use in jungle warfare with the Japanese. However, the units we are offering were manufactured just after WW2, in the early 1950s. Officially named ?CHARGING SETS 60-W, 12-V. PEDAL DRIVEN, NO.2. Mk.1.? Each features a foldaway seat and fully collapses into to a backpack frame for easy transportation. Found in the IMA warehouse where they have lain undisturbed for the last 20 years, each unit appears complete but needs connection wires to hook up to a radio, car battery, or whatever requires an electrical charge. We do not guarantee functionality. The few we have tested work but we have not tested all of them and will not promise that the one you receive will work, however, it should be easily restored to operational functionality. Along those lines, we luckily found just one original instruction manual, dated 1953, which we have photocopied, so every generator set will be accompanied by a copy of the original manual that outlines general description, erection, method of connecting, operation, dismantling, and maintenance. Just perfect for the next camping trip! Very few available.
