Original Item: The Royal Small Arms Factory at Enfield Lock was the center of small arms development in Great Britain, and was also a major manufacturer of ordnance materials. This oiler for the SMLE rifle and its descendants is beautifully made. The base is marked EFD, for Enfield, and the broad arrow indicates acceptance by HM’s Ordnance Department. It is especially satisfying, if one has a rifle made at Enfield, to have as many of the accessories as possible from the same source.
