  • Original Item: Many Vickers machine guns were adapted to calibers other than .303 British, but parts for these variations are extremely scarce.  IMA has a very few all-steel Vickers feed blocks in 7.9 X 57 mm Mauser caliber.  They are marked CAL 7.9.  (7.9 X 57, 7.92 X 57, and 8 mm Mauser are all different names for the same cartridge.  It was introduced by the German military in the 1890s and was widely used in Europe, Asia Minor, and the Mideast through much of the 20th Century.
