Original Item: One-of-a-kind; 1 standard British WW2 Tommy steel Helmet (referred to as a "Brodie" Helmet) complete with original olive green paint, original liner and chin strap, and bears a hand painted Regimental Insignia on the front of the helmet. In the shape of a shield 2 ?" x 2" in size showing what appears to be a silver lance or halberd head on a muted multicolored field of yellow, black and red covered in silver stars. Penciled onto the steel interior is "Pte. E. Kelly, 26th. Batt. ----- -----" unfortunately the Regiment is unreadable to us. A really interesting Original Helmet with this Regimental devise, well worthy of additional research
