Original Item: The Royal Army decided during the First World War that all the SMLE Mk III rifles that had been built with magazine cutoffs did not need cutoffs, so just about all of them were removed, often crudely by breaking the pivot screw. IMA has been fortunate to find a few cutoffs WITH screws.
