Original Item: One Only. This is a correct brown bearskin fur "Busby" helmet complete with wicker cage constructed interior. Helmet features include; original graduated brass ring chin scales on leather backing and correct King's Crown large brass cap badge on front, embossed with royal motto; ?Honi Soit Qui Mali Pense" (Evil to him who evil thinks). The internal helmet sweatband is absent. This regiment saw extensive service in Kitcher's Army on the Western Front in WW1. A very unusual Original British other ranks parade "Busby" Helmet from the WW1 era. This helmet comes on an original British issue fur helmet stand with broad arrow markings from the later 1900s.
