British Military Brass Victorian Era Saucepan: Marked (One Only)

Item Description

Original Item: One Only. This is a very smart, obviously old, Antique Brass Sauce Pan measuring 6" across at the top and 3" deep complete with holly tapered iron rolled handle attached to the bowl by two heavy Copper Rivets. The Iron handle is pitted with age and looks every bit of 100-150 years old. The Brass Bowl is heavy and shows signs of years and years of polish in the crevices around the handle. What this was used for we do not know; but is too substantial for just heating water to boil an egg. The most interesting feature are the stamps on the bottom; a Queen's Crown over a small V.R. with broad arrow mark. The handle measures 7.5 inches and is rolled with a tapering hole which might have had a wooden extension, like a garden spade, if this was for some Military use that meant for you to keep your distance. This is a very interesting Victorian Antique Brass and Iron Saucepan with some type of Military connection.
