Original Item: 65th Regiment raised in 1756, seeing its first engagement with the French in Guadeloupe in 1759. After 1881 becoming the 1st Battalion the York and Lances Regiment. All black Glengarry with ribbon tail and large brass cap badge of running tiger over "65" surrounded by "second Yorkshire North Riding" with large Crown above.
