While it is often marketed as being an “OSS Knife”, it is important to note that there is no formal connection between the two. However, what we do know is that both knives have their roots in the M3 Trench Knives that were originally produced by Aerial during the Second World War. The M3 style clip point blade is designed to have a sharp point for piercing and a curved edge for slicing, making it an excellent all-purpose blade for a variety of tasks. Whether you are an avid collector or a seasoned outdoorsman, this knife is sure to impress with its attractive design and impressive functionality.
These knives boast a distinctive design that blends the best features of the M-3 Trench Knife and the US Marine Corps/ U.S. Navy MKII style Fighting Knife. The handle is strikingly similar to that of a Kabar, but upon closer inspection, one can observe subtle details borrowed from the 225Q "Commando" Fighting Knife, including a smooth handle and a substantial pommel. The knives' unique combination of features makes them a noteworthy addition to any collection.
This is an excellent example of a seldom found WWII US Fighting Knife which would make a perfect addition to a US Military Edged Weapons collection.
