Original Soviet WWII / Cold War Inert UO-243 45mm Fragmentation Round with KTM-1 Fuze

Regular price $395.00

Item Description

Original Items: Only One Available. We have just acquired this rare lovely UO-243 45mm Fragmentation round, complete with shell casing and fitted with KTM-1 Fuze. Rounds such as this were designed to produce the maximum number of lethal fragments, which would damage personnel and equipment. These were used in the M1937 and M1942 Anti-Tank Guns, as well as in the 45mm tank guns M1932 and M1934, which were mounted in the obsolete Soviet T-70 light tank. The round is completely inert and void of any explosive content, and is in total compliance with the current BATF regulations governing the ownership of inert ordnance.

Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.

The round measures approximately 17 1/2 x 2 1/4" (at base), and is offered in good condition. The projectile is dated 1943 while the casing is dated 1985. This was a common practice for old munitions to be pressed into service in later years.

This rare round will make a great addition to any WW2 ordnance collection!
