Original Item: Only One Available. This is a wonderful example of a Marine Corps ‘USMC’ marked Model 1910 Canteen with Cover, as used by Marines during the Korean War. The pouch is dated 1952 but is still of the same 1942 specifications with the wide seams and not the single seam in the back. The canteen itself is a 1943 dated example by Vollrath. Both items are offered in wonderful condition.
The markings on both the cover and the canteen are still solid and easily discernible. There is no extensive damage present aside from the usual field wear and storage wear but otherwise presented without any extensive damage. There is fading present on the cover by the correct OD color can still be seen. The canteen has no denting that we can see nor any cracking, the only “issues” are scratching and minor oxidation.
