Original Items: Only One Lot of 8 Available. Now this is an interesting little grouping. The “wings” in this lot appear to be Imperial Japanese Navy in appearance, but after spending some time trying to fully identify them, we found some conflicting answers but we agreed on one of the answers as these being for Imperial Japanese Army Seaborne Troops.
We believe that these troops would have been a part of the Special Naval Landing Force or an element very similar. The Special Naval Landing Forces were naval infantry units of the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) and were a part of the IJN Land Forces. They saw extensive service in the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Pacific theater of World War II.
The Items In This Lot:
- x3 Seaborne Troops Breast Badges: The badges are in excellent, unused condition. They feature (1) with silver and gold bullion with a metal five star badge in the center, (1) all bullion example and (1) embroidered example.
- x4 Officer’s Green Cap Badges: They are unused but does have some age toning present as well as display/storage wear.
- Merchant Marine / Reserve Naval Fleet Cap Badge: The badge does not appear to have been used but there is storage wear and fading present.
All items come more than ready for further research and display.
