Original Item. Only One Available. In 1905, leather holsters were designed and issued for the .38 Revolver, with some experimental variations being produced. This is an extremely scarce 1905 Mills Experimental holster for the .38 Revolver with a Navy button affixed to the front snap. The holster shows serious service use and is initialed on the back, P.W.A..
The holster is in fair service-worn condition with light staining across the webbing. The belt attachment on the reverse is unfortunately broken with one of the hooks being broken off. There is heavy verdigris on the brass fittings, with some spotting on the Navy button as well. The snap is in good working condition. There are no maker’s markings which makes sense given its experimental nature.
A really phenomenal piece, ready for further research and display.
