The waterproof canvas is in excellent condition with no tears or stains. Designed to be worn over outer clothing to keep the sailor dry during driving rain. Complete with taped seams with water-resistant coating on the inside. Label inside jacket is faded but reads:
CAMBRIDGE RUBBER CO.
Overall this is a very rare U.S. Naval Deck Jacket with snap hooks (not the tie cord) from WWII in size large, always hard to find!
