Original WWI French Battlefield Excavated Relic Collection - Helmet, Canteen, Barbed Wire, Inert F-1 Grenade Shells & More!

Item Description

Original Ground Dug Items: Only One Lot of Available. This is fantastic! During WWI much of North East France and the surrounding areas became part of "No man's land", where constant trench warfare reduced the environment to a blasted out, desolate area. Repeated charges and changes in the front left huge amounts of material behind, often buried by later trench works, artillery fire, and the like, which means that for many years to come, any type of excavation in the area will turn up numerous artifacts.

Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.

Here we have a great set of excavated "relic" items from North East France, which really run the gamut regarding types of items as well as the countries represented. We unfortunately do not know exactly where these items were dug up, and it's very possible that they were dug up in multiple different places. They are all definitely WWI items, and show the deterioration that comes with being under the ground for a long period of time.

Items included are a French Canteen (Bidon), F-1 Grenade Body, 75mm shell casing, 75mm “exploded” shells, artillery fuses, entrenching shovel “E-Tool” and an American made (solid chinstrap bale rivets) “doughboy” M1917 helmet.

As stated, all items are in ground dug/relic condition. There are dents, holes, rust/oxidation, heavy pitting and all that coincides with items that have been left in the earth for nearly a century.

Comes more than ready for further research and display.
