Original German WWII NSDAP Party Enamel Membership Badge Lapel Stick Pin

Regular price $225.00

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice original early pattern German NSDAP (NSDAP) Party Enameled Membership Badge Lapel Pin, basically a smaller version of the standard pin on a stick pin. This way it could easily be attached to a lapel and other locations to show support for the party. There is no maker marking, but it is marked with GES. GESCH., indicating it is a trademarked design "protected by law", only seen on early pattern NSDAP membership insignia.

The NSDAP, Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (National Socialist German Worker’s Party), was originally founded in Munich as the DAP, Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (German Worker’s Party), on January 5TH 1919. When Adolf AH joined the DAP in the autumn of 1919 he was to reform what was basically a debating society into an active political party. Appointed as the first chairman of the party on July 29TH 1921 AH was to restructure it along para-military lines in a hierarchy of four levels of government.

This example is measures 50mm in length, and the insignia measures 19mm in diameter, a die struck bronze alloy NSDAP membership badge with multi-colored enamel work. The badge features a translucent red, circular outer border with embossed silvered script, NATIONAL-SOZIALSTISCHE-D.A.P., encompassing a white enamel field with canted black enamel Swas. It is in very good condition, with the plating worn through on the obverse, showing the bronze alloy base metal. The rear has the plating more intact, but only about 50% or less.

A very nice example of a hard to find NSDAP stick pin!
