Original Item: Only One Available. This is the rarest of WWII Soviet Helmets, made for short time between SSH-36 and 40 Models. This is a good repainted example of a Russian WWII Issue SSh-39 Combat helmet, with its original liner and oilcloth chinstrap. It looks to have had heavy service. Size is not marked but is roughly size 58 which is US 7 1/4 (58cm) and offered in very good condition overall. There are no stress cracks, as often seen, there are no dents or damage to speak of, just the repainting.
This example retains the original liner and chinstrap, which is oilcloth-covered canvas and one of the rarest variants. The liner has some damage and tearing including some staining in the canvas. The repainting has gotten rid of any markings.
A very good repainted example of what has become the rarest of all Soviet WWII helmets, ready for display!
