  • Original Items: Only One Set Available. This small Vehicle ID Model collection contains a nice selection of American vehicles. It's fascinating to imagine how these sets would have been used by the military to train soldiers and help them recognize the different types of vehicles they might encounter in the field. The vehicles themselves are a sight to behold, each one meticulously maintained and displaying signs of wear that speak to their history and service. It's clear that these armored vehicles have been well-loved and well-used, and they offer a unique glimpse into the world of military history.

Armored warfare or armored warfare (American English; see spelling differences), is the use of armored fighting vehicles in modern warfare. It is a major component of modern methods of war. The premise of armored warfare rests on the ability of troops to penetrate conventional defensive lines through use of maneuver by armored units.

Much of the application of armored warfare depends on the use of tanks and related vehicles used by other supporting arms such as infantry fighting vehicles, self-propelled artillery, and other combat vehicles, as well as mounted combat engineers and other support units. The doctrine of armored warfare was developed to break the static nature of World War I trench warfare on the Western Front, and return to the 19th century school of thought that advocated maneuver and decisive battle outcomes in military strategy.

The models include the T17 Deerhound Armored Car, M4 Sherman Tank, and a German tank that is unidentified because there is extreme damage to the underside. There is also heavy glue residue underneath from pieces being glued back on. The entire model has been repainted in a feldgrau type color, and decals added to the sides. Due to the damage there are no markings on this example.. There are good markings on the other two. Comes ready for further research and display!
