Original U.S. WWII Signal Corps Kodak PH-324 Camera in Original Leather Case with Carrying Strap & Data Plate - 1945 Contract Dated

Original Item. Only One Available. The PH-324 was issued throughout WWII to US Army Signal Photographic units as the standard 35mm camera. Included with this camera was an enlarger, photo paper, film, and chemicals needed to develop both in the field. Kodak produced the camera, a standard Kodak 35, in OD green exclusively for the federal government during the war. The camera used a leaf shutter and basic three element design to produce images on either Kodak Microfile or Kodak Super-XX film. A +2 Portra lens was included for copying documents with the accompanying stand in Photographic Set PH-261.
This is an outstanding example of the PH-324 which comes in its original Army issue case and carrying strap. The original data plate on the side of the camera reads:

The back of the camera is stamped with the Army designation PH 324. The camera appears in good functional condition although we cannot test it for functionality. There is no film currently in the camera. The original leather strap is in good shape.

The small circular leather piece that covers the lens in the case has fallen out but is still intact. The metal fittings and snaps have verdigris, but otherwise the leather of the case is in good order.
This is an outstanding example of the PH-324, the first we have ever had! You sometimes find these without a data plate but with the case, or with the case but without a data plate, but this example is complete and 100% Army issue! Ready for restoration or display!
