Original Item. Only One Available. The attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 ignited not only anger towards the enemy, it also sparked a wildfire of patriotism in every American in all corners of the country. As the war effort was kicked into overdrive, Americans did everything they could to remind each other why they were fighting and what could be lost. A prime example of these reminders is this item you are looking at here. It is very patriotic in nature and design, bearing the slogan “Remember Pearl Harbor”. In the early years of WWII how could you not remember Pearl Harbor?
This is a great small lightweight painted metal statue of a naval sailor saluting next to a large naval artillery piece, likely meant to represent an Anti-Aircraft cannon. The barrel of the cannon is inscribed REMEMBER / PEARL-HARBOR. It measures 10 ¾” tall and the base measures 4 ¾ x 6”.
A very crude but nonetheless patriotic piece made during the early years of World War II. Ready for display!
