Original Item: Only One Available. This is a wonderful original M1919A4 display gun vehicle setup, complete with a custom made M25 Vehicle Mount with Support Bar, Carry Handle, and a short belt of inert ammo. It was built using original WWII Type issue parts on a BATF compliant non-firing display receiver, making this a 100% legal display machine gun. This receiver was created using an original barrel trunion, rear plate, floor plate, and top covers, combined with sheet steel inert side plates. The interior has a faux bolt and charging handle, but no other real components. The barrel jacket is original, however the "barrel" inside is a hollow steel tube. The right hand dummy side plate was cut and part removed prior to obtaining this to ensure that it is fully inert. As such it is totally legal to own without a license of any kind.
The Browning M 1919A4 was the definitive U.S. MG of WWII. The M1919 Browning is a .30 caliber medium machine gun that was widely used during the 20th century. The U.S. and many other countries used it as a light infantry, coaxial, mounted, aircraft, and anti-aircraft machine gun, especially during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Although it began to be superseded by newer designs in the later half of the century (such as by the M60 machine gun), it remained in use in many North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) countries and elsewhere for much longer. It is very similar in design to the larger .50 in (12.7 mm) M2 Machine Gun, the "Ma Deuce", which is also a Browning-designed weapon and is still in NATO service.
IMA is proud to offer a totally non-firing display machine gun, built using some original parts into a BATF compliant non-firing dummy gun. The top cover opens, and many original markings remain on the individual components, this is a very appealing display gun. Both the front and rear sight are fully functional, and condition overall is excellent, showing very little wear or damage from service. The display gun has an original carry handle fitted around the barrel jacket, and is fitted on a lovely custom made M25 vehicle pedestal mount, which is attached to a round wooden base. It shows a high level of fabrication, utilizing most likely an aftermarket pedestal socket and forkhead.
