Original Item. Only One Available. This is an interesting uniform jacket and tie belonging to a Corporal in the Army Air Forces. The jacket has good Sterling Aircrew wings and a 3-place ribbon bar with the Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Purple Heart Medal, and the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three campaign stars. On the left breast pocket is a very interesting “bomb” shaped patch with a 50 crudely stitched on, which denotes 50 missions.
The jacket has a size, 39R, and laundry number, W-4227, on the interior, a good research project. There are four overseas stripes on the left cuff and a Meritorious Unit Citation wreath patch on the right cuff. The included tie is in very worn condition and has two different laundry numbers, neither of which match the jacket.
An interesting uniform with some research potential, ready for display.
