Original Item: Only One Available. In the U.S. military, a "flag officer" is any officer of high enough rank to fly a flag from the location of their command. In the U.S. Army, this applies to Officers of the Brigadier General (1 Star) rank and higher. Flags such as these were often attached to the outside of tents or other locations outside, while a more ornate fringed version would be used inside.
This is a fantastic Korean War era Four Star General’s command flag, measuring 3 x 4 feet. It is made from red wool fabric with all four stars individually sewn on. There is some tearing in the stars as shown on both sides, with some heavy staining throughout. The thick header retains both hanging grommets, and is very faintly stamped:

A good research project that could more accurately date the flag!
A really tremendous command flag for your General’s display!
