  • Original Item. Only One Available. The NICO BTV-1 flash-bang grenade is a flash-bang grenade used in the United States. It is designed to deny access into/out of an area to individuals, move individuals through an area, and suppress individuals. It is a hand-thrown interim replacement for the MK-141 flash-bang grenade based on an urgent needs statement. Improvements prevent serious injury to personnel in the event of premature detonation of the grenade, provide 3–5 seconds of flash blindness, a lower pressure to reduce blast injury risk, and hand-safe capability with metal body and top and bottom venting.

Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.

This example is an inert “Dummy” familiarization model, with a DUMMY sticker attached to the side. The grenade measures 5¼” tall and has an extra bit of length attached at the bottom. The side of the body reads:

    1 BANG BTV-EL
    DELAY: 1.5s
    NPG-06/01-03

The fuze and spoon are still intact along with the pull ring. A great model, ready for further research and display.
