Original Items. Only One Set Available. This is a very well-worn set of U.S. Civil War M1859 Cavalry spurs in brass, with both still retaining part of their original leather straps. The spurs are also stamped with unit or depot markings, rare to see.
Both spurs have a recess at the bend, and both retain their original rowels which are still sharp.
Both of the spurs retain parts of their original leather straps, but be advised that both straps are extremely fragile and are rubbing off leather when touched. One retains the buckle while the other just retains part of the strap.
One of the spurs is stamped:
C
44
And the other is stamped:
C
34
C likely denotes the company, while the numbers are rack or storage numbers.
A great set of scarce spurs with retained rowels and very fragile straps. Ready to display.
