Original Item. Only One Available. This is a scarce model of Italian canteen used during World War I, the first of this pattern we have offered. This rounded variation sports an original stitched wool cover and the original canvas & leather strap. Even better, the original cork is retained, still attached to the post by its chain.
The wool cover shows some moderate moth damage on the caved-in side, with good stitching retention. The canteen measures 7 ¼” in diameter from the right to left side. There is a post on the bottom for attachment of the leather/canvas strap which is still retained in good order.
