Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice pair of Japanese IJA wire cutters with detachable handles, complete in their original marked case. The wire cutters measure 18 inches overall, with removable 9 1/2 inch hard wood handles. The metal portions are painted the standard Japanese ordnance tan. We could find no markings on the handles or cutters themselves.
The wire cutters come complete in their original case, which is in great condition with the original leather strap and buckle intact! There are several kanji characters on the front flap, but due to the wear we are unable to translate them properly. Under the flap is what appears to be a Japanese maker’s marking. There is no spare cutter blade in the pouch, but the spot for one is there.
