Original Item: Only One Available. Made of a soft tan leather, this helmet is in good service-worn condition. It is constructed of multiple separate pieces of leather, with a 5 pointed Japanese Army Star on the front. The ear cups are complete, and made of hardened leather, each having holes in the center for mounting the communication equipment and receivers, but they are heavily worn and dented.
Most straps of the flying helmet are fully functional, all the buckles and tabs work perfectly, but the tightening strap on the back of the helmet is nearly torn away on one side, being held together by a few threads right now. The helmet features a seemingly hand-stitched lining which has some heavy wear. There is heavy staining to the exterior as well. Overall condition is good, but does show signs of very heavy period use and age. This is a true combat fighter pilot's flight helmet!
There is no size marking, but it’s around a size 7. Comes ready for further research and display.
