Original German WWII RAD Labor Service Insignia, Pin, and Shield Lot - 10 Pieces Total

Original Items. Only One Lot Available. The Reich Labor Service (Reichsarbeitsdienst; RAD) was a major organization established in NSDAP Germany as an agency to help mitigate the effects of unemployment on the German economy, militarize the workforce and indoctrinate it with NSDAP ideology. It was the official state labor service, divided into separate sections for men and women.
From June 1935 onward, men aged between 18 and 25 may have served six months before their military service. During World War II, compulsory service also included young women and the RAD developed into an auxiliary formation which provided support for the Wehrmacht armed forces.
This is a great lot of insignia, pins, and shields for the RAD. They include:
- RAD Women's Brooch by J.B.u. Co.
- RAD unit assignment shield with RAD inverted shovel with red numbers 102 / 2 in the center. This indicates the unit that they were a member of.
- RAD unit assignment shield with RAD inverted shovel with red numbers 206 / 1 in the center. This indicates the unit that they were a member of.
- RAD Pin on its original paper card with RZM marking M 9/4 and logo for LDO.
- German WWII DAF Labor Front Stickpin.
- One German WWII RAD National Labor Service Round Pin. These were worn on the clothes while in service. This example is in good condition, with a functional safety pin back.
- German RADwJ unit sleeve insignia XXVIII, with Ges Gesch marking below. Great condition.
- German WWII DAF Labor Front insignia on black diamond felt tab. Great piece.
- RADwJ Labor Corps badge for young women, good pinback.
