Original Item. Only One Available. This is a good WWII period German map case with an original period map inside. The case is leather with a celluloid grid on one side with a two snap closure. The carrying strap is retained with just crazing to the leather. There is some separation of the celluloid and leather along the top.
The map case measures roughly 7 x 9 ¾” and is in overall good condition. The snaps are marked PRYM 4 denoting German manufacture.
The map inside is a very worn and torn example, with a small title label attached listing the locations. The map was produced by G. Freytag & Brandt, an Austrian printing company. So this soldier would have been stationed in this region during the war.
A nice set, very heavy wear to the map but overall a good display piece.
