  • Original Items: Only One Set Available. This is a very nice collection of German WWII Insignia, which was brought back from the European theater by a USGI after the war was concluded. Many solders traded these on the way back, and would end up with a pocket full of various different collectible items, and this set represents the typical "haul" one might have come back with. It includes nice variety of Police Insignia, as well as some things that we have never seen before!

    This lovely set includes:

    - One embroidered German WWII Schutzpolizei NCO Ärmelhoheitsabzeichen (Protection Police Arm Eagle Insignia). The badge features the correct police blue gray (worn) background with Police Hellgrün (light green) embroidery, the correct Truppenfarbe (troop color) for the protection police (Schupo). In November 1941, all Police Sleeve Eagles could cease to have district markings, so this was made afterwards. This example is made from wool felt and definitely looks to have been installed on a uniform before, as indicated by the stitch markings and stitching around the edge. It shows some tearing of the edges, and the front edge is a bit stained and worn.

    - One embroidered German WWII Feuerschutzpolizei NCO Ärmelhoheitsabzeichen (Fire Protection Police Arm Eagle Insignia) from Freckenfeld. The badge features the correct navy blue background with karminrot (carmine red) embroidery, the correct Truppenfarbe (troop color) for the fire police. In November 1941, all Police Sleeve Eagles could cease to have district markings, so this was made prior to that. This example is made from from wool fabric and has an uneven edge, most likely from being stitched to a sleeve in the past and having been torn off.

    - One German WWII Feuerschutzpolizei (Fire Protection Police) NCO Oberwachtmeister Shoulder Strap. It is bordered with a single row of of fine silver flatware "Russia Braid" double piping around the edge, including the end, with black chevrons woven into the design. Inside this is a row of black double piping, and they have a Karminrot (carmine red) base and bottom strap. As the outer row of braid is closed at the end, this is a shoulderboard for the police rank of Oberwachtmeister (Senior Watch master), equivalent to an SS-Scharführer or U.S. Army Staff Sergeant.

    - One PAIR of Pre WWII Polizei (Police) Unterwachtmeister Shoulder Straps. These are made from two rows of brown double piping, with the outer row having woven in silver chevrons. This indicates the police rank of Unterwachtmeister (Junior watch master), equivalent to an SS-Sturmmann or U.S. Army Private first class. There is no truppenfarbe piping or base on these, so they are probably from before those were introduced, or possibly general police staff.

    - One German WWII Police Shako Wappen Front Plate Insignia. It shows wear and light oxidation to the exterior, and there is staining consistent with it possibly having been dug up at some point. It is bent in areas, but still retains the original threaded posts for attachment.

    - One German WWII Police Visor Cap Stamped Aluminum Eagle Insignia. Retains one of the two attachment prongs.

    - One 1942 dated gold German police support donation tinnie pin.

    - One German Pre-WWII North Rhineland / Wesphalia Police visor hat badge.

A wonderful totally genuine grouping perfect for the German Police Insignia collector. Ready to research and display!
