Original Items: Only One Set Available. This is a very nice matching pair of German WWII Heer Army Artillery EM/NCO Collar Tabs, cut off the uniform they were attached to with the part of the collar. Known as Kragenpatten (Collar patches) in German, these were attached to the collars to indicate the relative rank and branch of the wearer.
These insignia were machine embroidered, and attached directly to the uniform without any backing, very common for EM/NCO field tunics. They each have two parallel Litzenspiegel designs, symbolizing the double braid of the 19th century. Each of these has a Hochrot (Deep Red) Mittelstreifen (median strip), the correct Waffenfarbe (Corps Color) for Artillery, as well as General Level Officers. As these are EM/NCO tabs, they are definitely for artillery. Beginning in 1938, the corps color was removed for EM/NCO collar tabs.
A lovely set of early pattern uniform cutoff collar tabs, ready to display!
