  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice WWII German Wehrmacht Heer (Army) Aluminum EM/NCO's Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß) with an original black finished leather belt. The buckle is embossed with the Heer motto GOTT MIT UNS ("God (is) with us") inside a double rope border around a closed wing Wehrmachtadler (Armed Forces Eagle), with a partial oak leaf wreath at the bottom. Nice aluminum construction box buckle with a pebbled background. The buckle is in good condition, and is a single piece injection molded and crimped example. It does show some surface wear, common due to the softer aluminum alloy, but the design is still clear.

This buckle was originally entirely painted standard Heer olive gray, and while this is worn on the front, the rear still still shows about 75%. It is maker marked by the clasp loop with KụK and 37, for 1937 manufacture by Klein & Quenzer A.G. of Idar-Oberstein in Western Germany. Known more for making awards and HJ belt buckles, this is a VERY rare maker to find on an Army buckle. The buckle still still retains the leather tab (stitching is rotted out), which is still faintly marked with:

    KLEIN & QUENZER A.G.
    1937
    OBERSTEIN

The leather belt is in very good condition, and measures about 39.5” when fully extended. It is also marked 100 on the buckle end, for 100cm (39.4in), and doesn't seem to have stretched much over the years. It is finished black on the exterior, and still retains the correct leather tab with a double row of 7 holes for length adjustment. The belt shows use, and there is wear to the black finish on the exterior.

Overall condition in very good with an exception eye appeal and patina! Ready to display!
