Original Item. Only One Available. This is a great example of a “Treuedienstabzeichen der Bayerischen Industrie”, a Bavarian Industry 25-Year Faithful Service medal in its original case with miniature medal and spare length of ribbon.
The medal is constructed of silver with multi-colored enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with a zinc backplate and horizontal pinback, the obverse consisted of a blue and white enameled Bavarian national shield, flanked by raised Bavarian national lions rampant clutching a cogwheel, above a mobile swas flanked by oak leaves, the inscription reading “EHRE DER ARBEIT” (“HONOUR LABOUR”), the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “FÜR 25 JAHRE TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR 25 YEARS OF FAITHFUL SERVICE”), circumscribed by a raised inscription of “DIE BAYERISCHE INDUSTRIE” (“BAVARIAN INDUSTRY”).
The medal and miniature are both in great shape without any major tarnishing or damage. The original case retains its hinge and closure to the front which is functional. The bottom of the case is maker-marked Deschler & Sohn of München.
