Original German WWII 1936 Dated Luftschutz Gas Mask by AUER with Canister and Spare Lenses

Original Item: Only One Available. This is an great condition, totally genuine WWII issue German Luftschutz and civilian gas mask. The mask itself is nearly identical to the German military issue. The filter still retains the original paper label in complete legible condition and is dated 1936. The mask is a size 2 and appears to have never been worn as the eye lenses are in excellent shape besides one which has broken. There is a spare set of low tint lenses still in the original wax paper in the storage compartment of the carry canister. The canister is nicely marked: AUER with R 73 stamped onto the lid. There is also a name scratched into the lid, Konr. Schulz. The canister is missing the carrying strap.
The label on the filter reads S. FILTER für den zivilen Luftschutz. The mask itself is in good condition, but we would not recommend attempting to fit it to a head or attempting to change the shape. Keeping it as is or in the canister is the way to go.
Overall a great example of a wartime German gas mask issued to the Luftschtuz but this type were routinely used by members of the Wehrmacht towards the end of the war when supplies were running low.
