Original Item: Only One Available. This is a lovely Pre-WWII training manual for the Heer Army, which gives a great view into training shortly before the onset of the war. Written by Ernſt Hoebel, who was involved in many other manuals, this book is part of the Der Dienſt-Unterricht im Heere (Military Training in the Army) series. This version is the Ausgabe für den Schützen der M.G.K (Issue for the Machine Gunner of the Machine Gun Company), and is the Elfte neubeardbeitete Auflage Jahrgang 1938/39 (11th Revised Edition Year 1938-1939. As one can see, Germany began training and rearming long before the war, and produced numerous military manuals, which had to be revised repeatedly as new tactics and equipment became available.
The manual is 348 pages long, and measures 5 1/2"W x 8"H x 5/8", looking to have seen a good amount of use during the war, and possibly afterwards. The cover is stained, and tore over the binding, which was stabilized with transparent tape. The corners of the manual show wear, and there are some loose pages, as to be expected on a book of this age. The pages are also browned around the edges from air exposure.
A great view into German WWII military training, ready to research and display!
