  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is very unusual, this is a rather decrepit but totally original Imperial Russian 1891 Mosin Nagant socket bayonet complete with its locking ring in frankly little better than barn find condition showing rust and wear contained in a really Nice German WWI Ersatz bayonet scabbard especially made for this model of socket bayonet. The Russian bayonets, M-1891 are rare in their own right, but the German made all steel circular Ersatz socket Scabbard is exceptionally difficult to find.

The Russians did NOT issue scabbards with these socket bayonets, claiming they should be fitted to the rifle at all times, but the Germans, having captured the Russian Rifle with bayonet felt the need to manufacture a specific scabbard for use with this model Rifle and socket bayonet.

The bayonet is stamped with serial number 158743 and is in great shape overall. There is heavy wear and oxidation but otherwise looks great.

These are extremely difficult to find in any condition. Don’t miss out on this example, only the 3rd we have ever had! Ready to display!

    Dimensions:
    Blade Length: 17”
    Total Length: 19 7/8”
    Scabbard Length: 19"
