Original Item. Only One Available. This is a lovely Pre-WWI French officer’s tunic with a dark blue construction & bright red collar and cuff button straps. Each cuff bears two gold stripes denoting the rank of Lieutenant. There are metal ‘2’ numerals on the collar, with field artillery buttons, denoting the 2nd Regiment of Field Artillery, or 2e Régiment d'Artillerie.
The jacket has great overall construction with all buttons retained and great markings on the interior. The number 5 is stenciled in each sleeve, with TBS stamped in one sleeve. There was once a name tag stitched below the collar, but it is now gone. The lining is in good shape. The collar retains a two hook & loop closure and the bottom below the buttons retains a single hook and loop closure. There are six buttons on the back and there are no pockets on the tunic at all.
