  • Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a WWII Theater-made knuckle knife which takes clear inspiration from the BC-41 a combined knuckleduster and dagger weapon used by the British Commandos during World War II for close combat and ambushes. Although effective, it was eventually replaced by the Fairbairn–Sykes fighting knife. This knife is actually stamped on one of the leather grips: BC 41

This likely doesn’t indicate that this is an actual BC-41, but that it was heavily inspired by the design. The knife bears a roughly 6” blade, single-sided with a long false edge. The hilt consists of cast iron knuckles covered on both sides by a now very thin leather grip. We originally thought it could be horn from the look, but they are without a doubt leather that has been extremely worn down. The overall length is now 9½”.

The included leather sheath was designed specifically to fit this knife. It is quite crude in its construction with the sheath itself sewn together with two “rivets” at the throat. There are five holes punched through the sheath body for airflow. The long leather securing strap is applied vertically and the knob is still in good order. There may be a belt loop in the sheath but if there is one, it’s very small.

A very interesting and unique BC-41 style knuckle knife, ready to display.
