  • Original Items. One-of-a-Kind Lot. This is a very lovely set of medals, badges, and card used by Britain and a couple medals used by New Zealand during World War I. There are four named medal sets in varying conditions, the best in the group being a KIA Medal group to William Allford of the Somerset Light Infantry.

    The lot includes:
    - 1914-15 Star and WWI Victory Medal to William Allford, Nr. 11365, 6th Battalion, Somerset Light Infantry. He was presumed dead on March 21st, 1918, but his body was never recovered. The medals are stapled to a small display card. He was killed on the first day of the German Spring Offensive.
    - 1914-15 Star and British War Medal to Leading Dock Hand Hugh McDade, Royal Naval Reserve. The ribbon of the British War Medal is heavily tattered and no longer properly stapled to the card.
    - 1914-15 Star to Pte. H. Brown, Army Service Corps.
    - WWI Victory Medal planchet, no ribbon to Pte. J. Mitchell, Royal Sussex Regiment.
    - WWI Victory Medal & 1914-1918 Medal planchet (no ribbon) engraved to Walter Mathew McDonough, enlisted on November 14th, 1917, not much service.
    - US & British flag pin.
    - R.C.A.M.C. button locket with no photos.
    - Shoulder tab pins for MCS, RFA, and CFA
    - Hat badges for the Royal Sussex Regiment and the Machine Gun Corps.
    - Bedfordshire Regiment card, no writing.

A great lot of medals and badges, ready for display.
