Original Item. Very Few Available. These are original 1960s Czechoslovak People's Army (ČSLA) military suspenders, dating to the Cold War period. They feature the traditional Y-back construction with olive-drab elastic webbing, light tan leather reinforcements, and braided buttonhole attachment loops. Their general design is similar to German WWII military suspenders, making them particularly useful for collectors interested in European military uniforms and equipment.
The suspenders measure approximately 37 inches [94 cm] in overall length and incorporate two adjustable front straps joined to a single rear strap through a reinforced leather junction. Each front strap is equipped with a metal adjustment slide, allowing the length to be altered for the wearer. The ends terminate in tightly woven, double-looped buttonhole attachments, secured beneath stitched tan leather tabs. These loops were designed to fasten directly to the buttons fitted inside military trousers, while the elastic construction provided flexibility and comfort during movement.
The suspenders are in very good overall condition, showing light age and storage wear. The olive-drab webbing retains its color, while the leather reinforcements and braided attachment loops remain well preserved. The metal adjustment fittings exhibit minor surface wear and age-related discoloration.
