New Made Reproduction Items. Very Few Available. These are high-quality European-made reproductions of the standard black leather chinstrap used on German M35, M40, and M42 Stahlhelm helmets before and during WWII. The basic 13-hole chinstrap pattern remained in use across all three helmet models, with wartime variations primarily involving leather finish, buckle material, maker markings, and production details.

All are marked but markings vary. Each chinstrap has a steel buckle and two small steel knobs for attachment. One with the buckle moved towards the end measures 18” long.
These reproductions are suitable for M35, M40, and M42 helmet restoration projects, reenactor equipment, reproduction displays, or completing an original helmet that is missing its chinstrap.
