New Made Reproduction Items. Very Few Available. These are high-quality European-made reproductions of the black or brown leather neck strap used with German military binoculars before and during WWII. Each strap is constructed from black leather with steel fittings and is designed to reproduce the simple adjustable pattern seen on period field binoculars. They are offered in two colors, black and brown. Some straps have replicated markings, while others don’t.
Each strap measures approximately 34 inches long overall. One end has two adjustment slits, while the opposite end has six slits, allowing the strap to be shortened or lengthened depending on the binocular body and the desired fit.
Both ends retain steel fastening studs or knobs used to secure the strap through the corresponding slits. This straightforward adjustable arrangement is consistent with the type of leather neck strap commonly encountered on German service binoculars of the period.
These reproductions are well suited for completing a WWII German binocular set, replacing a missing or damaged strap on a display example, or finishing a reenactor or mannequin field-equipment setup without using a fragile original. Get one before they’re gone.
