Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a French manufactured life ring constructed in manner and materials constant with the 1940s and painted orange. It is Purportedly from Trawler Fina Britannia which was home ported in Dunkirk (Dunkerque) at the time of the Battle of Dunkirk which occurred between May 26, 1940 – Jun 4, 1940. The trawler was sunk in the English Channel during the evacuation. We have no provenance for this account.

The ring is constructed Polystyrene with a water-proof treated canvas stitched cover which was painted orange. The ring is stenciled in black paint:
