  • Original Item: As a training aid for higher echelon maintenance of the Lewis Light Machine Gun in British service, a few guns had areas of metal removed to allow the interior parts to be seen. The magazine was included in this process. For the magazines, two large openings were cut above the cartridge-holding space and a very small opening was cut above the locking tooth of the magazine. This tooth locks the inner and outer magazine assemblies together to prevent cartridges from being lost when the magazine was not in place on the gun. When the magazine is installed on the gun or when the loading tool is inserted, this lock is released, allowing the outer body of the magazine to rotate.

We have a very small stock of these extremely RARE Magazines.
