Original Item: Issued with both MP 40 and MP 44 magazine pouch sets. These neck straps which clipped onto the "D" Rings on the rear of both left and right magazine pouches, relieved the weight of the loaded magazines from around the waist. Not surprisingly a few of these rare neck straps survived as they were principally used in combat conditions only. A small supply of the absolutely original WWII marked canvas and leather neck strap in Wehrmacht green or Luftwaffe/Fallschirmjäger blue were discovered in Eastern Europe years ago. A recent warehouse cleanout has found a small quantity of the Wehrmacht green version.
Each strap has a hook attachment on either end. Construction styles vary: may have canvas or leather end fittings around the hooks. Offered in very good condition. All will have unclear or missing markings.
