Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is a good condition, World War One flare pistol made by the Remington Arms Company at their factory in Bridgeport Connecticut between 1915 and 1918. It uses a 10 gauge flare in a 9 inch steel barrel though it unfortunately no longer has any markings visible aside from matching serial 856.
The frame is constructed of brass and retains a wonderful mottled patina. The pistol retains its original hardwood grips though one has a visible repair crack. This design features a "spur" trigger, and a "top break" loading system, typical of most flare pistols. Measures 12 1/2 inches overall, with a 9 inch barrel.
Unusual, hard to find, and very attractive, making a perfect Great War collectible.
